VISA international corporation is open for cooperation with all key players in the transport sector of Azerbaijan in order to develop joint projects.

It was noted that the transport sector of Azerbaijan is one of the important industries for the promotion of VISA projects in Azerbaijan. The company is open to cooperation with all key market players to continue the development of transport projects not only in the railway but also in other areas of transport in Azerbaijan.

In addition, it was reported that on December 10, 2021, a memorandum is planned to be signed between the Azerbaijani logistics company Alliance Logistics and the Russian Railways JSC. This document will facilitate the launch of the Agroexpress project jointly with Russian Railways at full capacity.

Azerbaijan and Russia are also planning to launch the Railway Industrial Express project.

At present, the railway structures of the two countries are working on the issues of transportation of industrial products, high-tech goods, equipment for the machine-building sector, rolled metal products, high-precision mechanisms and wood.

In addition, it became known that Alliance Logistics plans to connect Iran to the Russian - Azerbaijani Agroexpress railway project. This corridor provides not only for the transportation of goods from Iran but also opens up access to the markets of India and Pakistan for its participants.

Alliance Logistics also announced that it plans to purchase another 100 covered freight railcars from the Russian company RM RAIL.

This week, ADY Container LLC, a subsidiary of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, reported that the volume of cargo traffic between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan amounted to 8,923 TEU-containers in 10M2021 (an increase of 121 percent compared to the same period last year).

According to ADY Container, freight cargo transportation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan increased by 31 percent in 10M2021 and amounted to 13,600 TEU.
