The volume of oil and non-oil products loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports increased by 11 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the report of the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the report, more than 129 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports within the mentioned period. Of this, 81.5 million tons were loaded and 47.5 million tons were unloaded.
About 60.5 million tons of crude oil and related products were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in 8 months, which is an increase of 9 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 44.6 million tons of crude oil and related products were loaded, while 15.8 million tons were unloaded.
"In addition, 68.6 million tons of non-oil products were loaded and unloaded in the ports over eight months, which is increase of 13 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian yea. So, 36.8 million tons of non-oil products were loaded and 31.7 million tons were unloaded," the report said.
At the same time, 1.5 million TEU containers were loaded and unloaded in the Iranian ports in 8 months. This is an increase of 15 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
