Iran reaches increase in load/unloaded operations at Amirabad port

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) increased by 31.4 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2021), compared to the 7th month (September 23 through October 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 260,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 74,300 tons were loaded and about 186,000 tons were unloaded.

In addition, about 65,000 tons of cargo were exported and 181,000 tons were imported through the Amirabad port in the eighth month.

Within the 8th month, 9,280 tons of cargo were loaded and 4,210 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

According to the statistics, 58 tons of cargo were loaded and 277 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes during the eighth month.

"So, 168,000 tons of essential products, 5,820 tons of metal products, 63,800 tons of construction and mining materials, 2,740 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Amirabad port in the 8th month of the current Iranian year," the statistics said.

Moreover, 4,720 tons of chemicals, 586 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 514 tons of container products, 14,400 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port over the mentioned month.

As reported, about 11.1 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the eighth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.7 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 13.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
