The transit of goods through Iran via trucks has by 93 percent in volume and by 84 percent in terms of number of trucks, during the first 100 days of the current Iranian government (which has been power since August 3, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year (during the previous government), Trend reports via the report of Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.
According to the report, 2.7 million tons of goods were transited through Iran by 126,997 trucks within the mentioned period.
In addition, 5.9 million tons of cargo were transported to other countries by 269,140 trucks from Iran’s border terminals over 100 days, which is an increase of 44 percent in volume, and 40 percent in terms of the number of trucks, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
