Cargo movements in Iran's Fereidoonkenar port down

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 25 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2021), compared to the 7th month (September 23 through October 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, over 13,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port during the reporting month.

“Within the 8th month, 6,700 tons of cargo were imported through this port, while 6,370 tons of cargo were unloaded for transit,” the statistics said.

So, 6,700 tons of essential products, and 6,370 tons of crude oil and oil products were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port in the eighth month of the current Iranian year.

About 11.1 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the eighth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.7 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 13.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.

The Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
