The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port of the Sistan and Baluchestan Province (south-eastern Iran) decreased by 47 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 281,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the ninth month. Of this, 13,700 tons were loaded and 267,000 tons were unloaded.
Also, 12,500 tons of cargo were exported and 159,000 tons were imported through the Chabahar port over the reporting month.
Furthermore, 1,420 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transit in the 9th month.
According to the statistics, 106,000 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for cabotage during the ninth month.
At the same time, 1,240 tons of cargo were loaded and 5 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
About 148,000 tons of essential products, 12,500 tons of construction and mining materials, 1,420 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Chabahar port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 40 tons of chemicals, 531 tons of leather products, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials, 126 tons of small and assorted products, 11,300 tons of container products and 107,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned month.
About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
