The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 8 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 692,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 336,000 tons were loaded and 356,000 tons were unloaded.
At the same time, 1,440 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the ninth month.
Over the 9th month, 336,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 354,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.
Furthermore, 91 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transshipment, as well as, 5 tons were loaded for other purposes.
According to the statistics, about 8 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 673,000 tons of small and assorted products, 88 tons of container products, and 19,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 9th month of the current Iranian year.
About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
