Volume of cargo loaded/unloaded in Iran's Fereidoonkenar port declines

The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port of the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 16 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 23 through December 21, 2021), compared to the 8th month (October 23 through November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, over 10,900 tons of cargo were unloaded in the Fereidoonkenar port during the reporting month. Of this, 1,400 tons were loaded and 9,530 tons were unloaded.

So, 1,400 tons of construction and mining materials were exported and 9,530 tons of essential products were imported through the port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.

About 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the ninth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.28 million tons were loaded and 5.64 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 8.8 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.

The Iran's Fereidoonkenar port is located on 69 hectares of land. The port has 2 platforms and 700,000 tons of cargo can be loaded and unloaded in the port per year.
