Iran’s IAC records surge in cargo transportation via Kermanshah International Airport

The volume of cargo transported through Kermanshah International Airport in the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) increased by 28 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.

According to the statistics, 2,023 tons of cargo were transported through the airport in 9 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 1,577 tons.

In addition, a total of 283,251 passengers were transported through Kermanshah Airport within the mentioned period. Passenger transportation increased by 12 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 252,830 passengers had been transported via the airport in the same period last Iranian year.

Over 9 months, 3,874 flights (passenger planes only) were carried out from the airport, which is an increase of 19 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the number of flights from this airport amounted to 3,266 units in the same period last Iranian year.

Iran's Kermanshah International Airport is located on an area of 237 hectares.
