ADY Express LLC, a subsidiary company of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, transported 23,378 tons of agricultural products, mainly fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, in 500 freight cars via the North-South Transport Corridor in January through February 2022, the company told Trend.
"In 2021, ADY Express LLC transshipped 74,783 tons of agricultural products from Iran to Russia in 1,468 railroad cars. Cargoes were loaded into train cars at Iran's Astara cargo terminal and delivered to Russia through Azerbaijan. The main destination of most cargo was Moscow. The company also carries out delivery of rail cars for this type of freight traffic," ADY Express said.
"The overall volume of cargo transported by ADY Express LLC in the first two months of 2022 through Iran's Astara cargo terminal totaled 58,967 tons (in 1,369 freight cars)," ADY Express stated.
