BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 9. The Scottish MacRebur company will start full-scale construction of roads in Azerbaijan in the coming months, Hannah Richardson, spokesperson for the company, told Trend.

According to Richardson, nearly 500,000 items of non-recyclable plastic waste will be used for this purpose.

"A test road has already been built and work is underway to study the places where the roads will be built. In total, according to the contract, it’s planned to build 1,690 kilometers of roads," she said.

The contract was signed for the implementation of this work between the Scottish company and the National Automobile Club of Azerbaijan with a cost of one million pounds sterling. The cost of the contract will be paid by the Azerbaijani side.

MacRebur operates in more than 30 countries, including the US, Brazil, Turkey, Norway, Spain, South Korea, and Estonia.
