BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 30 percent in the 12th month of the last Iranian year (February 20 through March 20, 2022), compared to the 11th month (January 21 through February 19, 2022), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO)

According to the statistics, about 976,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 395,000 tons were loaded and 581,000 tons were unloaded.

At the same time, 2,440 tons of cargo were exported and 5,200 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the 12th month.

Over the 12th month, 392,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 573,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

Furthermore, 395 tons of cargo were loaded and 2,300 tons were unloaded in this port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 113 tons of essential products, 4 tons of metal products, 403 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 854 tons of chemicals, 787,000 tons of small and assorted goods, 827 tons of container products, and about 187,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 12th month of the current Iranian year.

About 12.2 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 12th month of the last Iranian year. Of this, 6.2 million tons were loaded and 5.98 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 5.3 percent, compared to the same month of the preceding Iranian year.
