Turkey unveils volume of goods transshipment from Algeria by local ports in 1Q2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The ports of Turkey handled 2.06 million tons of cargo from Algeria in 1Q2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.

Ships flying the Turkish flag delivered 90,384 tons of cargo from Algeria to local ports and ships flying the flags of other countries – 1.2 million tons.

Algerian-flagged vessels delivered 691,462 tons of cargo to Turkish ports during this period.

Turkish ports handled 128,190 tons of transit cargo from Algeria from January through March 2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 24.1 million tons of cargo in March 2022. Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey through local ports amounted to 2.2 million tons during this period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 31.8 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 6,.6 million tons of transit cargo in March 2022.

Turkish ports handled 98.6 million tons of cargo from January through March 2022.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 6.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships under the flags of other countries amounted to 91.6 million tons.

Turkish ports handled 20.5 million tons of transit cargo in 1Q2022.

The ports of Turkey handled 386.3 million tons of cargo in 2021.

Cargo transportation by ships under the flag of Turkey amounted to 29.9 million tons during the specified period.

Cargo transportation through the ports of Turkey by ships flying the flags of other countries amounted to 356.3 million tons in 2021.

Turkish ports handled 78 million tons of transit cargo last year.
