TEHRAN, Iran, July 7. The construction of the new 10-th line of the Tehran subway will begin next week, said the mayor of Tehran Alireza Zakani, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.
"Tehran Municipality has also planned to launch the construction of the 11th subway line in 2025," he added.
Zakani pointed out that by completing the construction of the 11th subway line, a total of 330 stations will operate in the Tehran subway system.
According to the official, the priority of the municipality is to finish the construction of the current seven subway lines including 143 stations that require 700 trillion rials (about $16 billion) of budget funds.
