BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) decreased by 32 percent in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

In total, about 7,500 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in the port over the 5th month. About 1,740 tons of cargo were loaded and 5,760 tons were unloaded.

Also, 501 tons of cargo were exported and 3,550 tons were imported through the Genaveh port during the reporting month.

Within the 5th month, 1,230 tons of cargo were loaded and 1,070 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.

In addition, 1,140 tons of cargo were unloaded in the port for transshipment over the 5th month.

Thus, 501 tons of construction and mining materials, about 5,860 tons of small and assorted products and 1,140 tons of container products were loaded and unloaded in the Genaveh port within the 5th month of the current Iranian year.

In general, about 12.5 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 5th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, about 6.4 million tons were loaded and about 6.1 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
