BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 15. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran), decreased by 27 percent in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, about 122,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port in the 7th month. Of this, 96,000 tons were loaded and 25,600 tons were unloaded.

Furthermore, 61,600 tons of cargo were exported and 7,880 tons were imported through the Shahid Bahonar port over the reporting month.

Within the 7th month, 625 tons of cargo were loaded and 7,400 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.

At the same time, 33,700 tons of cargo were loaded and about 4,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage. As well as, 57 tons of cargo were loaded and 6,290 tons were unloaded for other purposes during the 7th month.

“Some 46,000 tons of essential products, 109 tons of metal products, about 30,900 tons of construction and mining materials, and 7,310 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Shahid Bahonar port in the 7th month of the current Iranian year,” the statistics said.

Moreover, 6,410 tons of container products and 30,800 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In general, about 11.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 7th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.66 million tons were loaded and 5.94 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 6 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
