Cargo transportation via roads of Markazi Province up

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 3. Cargo transportation through the roads of Markazi Province (central Iran), increased by 2 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Roads and Transport Department of Markazi Province Mehrdad Jahani said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.

In overall, 13 million tons of cargo were transported from Markazi Province to Iran’s other provinces, Jahani noted.

He added that the cargo was transported mainly from Arak, Saveh and Delijan counties of the Markazi Province.

According to him, 18 percent of cargo from the province was transported to Tehran Province, 11 percent to Isfahan Province, and 9 percent to Khuzestan Province.

The director general said that 4.8 million tons of transported goods were accounted for mining products, and 4.1 million tons for chemical products.
