BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 8. The volume of cargo transported from Iran’s Alborz Province in the north of the country increased by 6 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of Roads and Transport Department of Alborz Province Hossein Parvizi said, Trend reports Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
The official noted that a total of 6.64 million tons of cargo were transported through roads of Alborz Province to other provinces of the country in 8 months.
According to Parvizi, the mentioned cargo was transported from the Alborz Province mainly to Iran’s Tehran, Qazvin, Gilan, Mazandaran, Hormozgan, and Isfahan provinces.
“Some 9 percent of the cargo was transported from to Fardis County, 20 percent from Eshtehard County, 26 percent from Karaj County, 25 percent from Savojbolagh County, and 20 percent from Nazarabad County,” he said.
