According to the company, in 2022, the highest figure for passenger rail transport in the country has been achieved in the last ten years.
This figure is 84 percent more than in 2021.
The vast majority of passengers (5 million) account for transportation on the Absheron Circular Railway.
The company notes that in addition to making a significant contribution to the elimination of deadlocks observed in the transport sector, the Azerbaijan Railways have also played a major role in ensuring passenger satisfaction.
"A number of projects have been implemented in the field of providing high-quality passenger transportation services, providing affordable, comfortable, high-speed, and safe transportation of the population, and updating the infrastructure of departure lounges and train stations in a modern style," the company said.
