BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Dayyer port in the Bushehr Province in the south of the country, increased by 29.7 percent in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.
Approximately 23,300 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at the Dayyer port during the reporting month (17,700 tons loaded, 5,600 tons unloaded).
Also, over 16,400 tons of cargo were exported and 97 tons were imported through the Dayyer port within the 1st month.
At the same time, 860 tons of cargo were loaded at the port for transit, as well as 395 tons of cargo were loaded and 5,500 tons were unloaded for other purposes.
Some 716 tons of essential products, 79 tons of metal products, 22 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts, 65 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, and about 22,400 tons of small and assorted goods were loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Dayyer port in the 1st month of the current Iranian year.
In total, 11.9 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 1st month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.22 million tons were loaded and 6.68 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 0.7 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
