BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 10. Turkmenistan's trade, economic, and investment cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is acquiring a strategic focus in the field of forming a transport and logistics system, Trend reports.
This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov at an expanded meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Sochi (Russia).
The head of the Turkmen delegation also said that Turkmenistan aims to develop the routes "Central Asia — Caspian — Black Sea" and "Central Asia — Persian Gulf", which will help to activate cargo flows between interested states.
Furthermore, Geldimyradov noted that by the end of 2022, Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover with the EAEU countries increased by 10.7 percent compared to 2021, and for 4 months of this year, the trade turnover increased by 9.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
Also, according to the head of the Turkmen delegation, Turkmenistan considers the EAEU as one of the important trade and economic partners.
