BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 20. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Bushehr port in the same named province (southern Iran) decreased by 23.4 percent, in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.
A total of 265,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded at this port over the reporting month. Of this, 110,000 tons were loaded and 155,000 tons were unloaded.
During the 2nd month, about 107,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 93,800 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.
Also, 151 tons of cargo were loaded at the port for transit, as well as 2,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 60,600 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 2nd month.
At the same time, 1,730 tons of cargo were loaded at the port for other purposes.
Some 32,500 tons of essential products, 1,060 tons of metal products, about 115,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,500 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded at the Bushehr port in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 645 tons of chemicals, 2,060 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 1,000 tons of small and assorted goods, 37,000 tons of container products, and about 74,700 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded at this port within the mentioned period.
In total, 11.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 7.01 million tons were loaded and 4.66 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 3.4 percent compared to the same month in the last Iranian year.
