BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded at Iran’s Noshahr port in the Mazandaran Province (northern Iran) decreased by 24.6 percent in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same month in the last year, Trend reports.
About 65,600 tons of cargo were unloaded at this port over the reporting month.
Of the mentioned volume, 2,400 tons were loaded at the port for export, while about 63,200 tons were unloaded for import purposes.
Within 2nd month, about 63,500 tons of essential products, 173 tons of construction and mining materials, and 1,830 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper and wood materials were loaded and unloaded in the Noshahr port.
In total, 11.7 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 7.01 million tons were loaded and 4.66 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 3.4 percent compared to the same month in the last Iranian year.
