ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 26. Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran discussed the development of container transportation, Trend reports.

According to the official source, these issues were discussed during a meeting of representatives of the Iranian Vision Global Terminal company and the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) under the leadership of the First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Railways JSC Hikmatilla Rahmetov and Deputy for Transport and Logistics Abdumalik Kamildzhanov.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of container transportation from Iran to Uzbekistan and through it to other countries.

In particular, they talked about reducing the time of transportation of imported containers from the ports of Southeast Asian countries to Uzbekistan through the port of Bandar Abbas (Iran), transshipment of containers at the Serakhs border station (Turkmenistan), and fitting platforms owned by Uzbekistan Railways JSC.

Presentation material on the use of the capabilities of terminals located in the port of Bandar Abbas and the Serakhs border station of the Vision Global Terminal company was also demonstrated.
