Int’l cargo traffic via Iranian airports rises

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 14. The volume of cargo transported through Iranian airports to international directions increased by 4.2 percent, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared with the same time last year, Trend reports.

More than 20,900 tons of cargo were transported via country’s airports to international directions in 4 months, as stated in the data of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC).

Meanwhile, the figure stood at over 20,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

There are 54 civil active airports in Iran. Some 14 of them are international airports. On average, 30 million passengers are transported through Iranian airports per year.
