BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. On the initiative of the Azerbaijan International Road Carriers Association (ABADA), a meeting of carriers was held with the participation of employees of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, as well as employees of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy, Trend reports.
According to the association, the purpose of the meeting was to discuss difficulties with tax payments of legal entities and individuals engaged in international road transportation in Azerbaijan.
Legal entities and individuals participating in the event, spoke about problems with the lack of a single mechanism of tax payment, failure to take into account the costs incurred by carriers in foreign countries, requirements to pay the cost of transportation by bank transfer and problems in implementation of desk inspections.
Road carriers made proposals to establish a fixed amount of tax on vehicles owned or leased, the mechanism of tax payment when the shipper pays the amount for transportation in cash, as well as the payment of simplified tax for carriers with one vehicle. In addition, assistance has been requested to facilitate the payment of taxes by carriers in accordance with the legislation.
The representative of the State Tax Service answered the questions of the participants and said that the problematic issues will be considered.
