Turkmenistan and Latvia discuss strengthening transport cooperation

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 21. The Turkmen Logistics Association and the Latvian Association of freight forwarders and logistics (LAFF) held an online meeting of representatives of the transport industry of Turkmenistan and Latvia, where they discussed strengthening partnership, Trend reports.

During the event, the Turkmen side made specific proposals for a full cycle of cargo transportation from Europe.

Latvian companies noted the potential of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport as one of the transit points between Asia and Europe, expressing interest in establishing strong partnerships.

Representatives of the Turkmendenizderyayollary Agency, the Turkmenbashi International Seaport and member companies of the Turkmen Logistics Association spoke at the meeting on behalf of Turkmenistan, while the Latvian side was represented by employees of ACE Logistics Latvia, BV GRUPA, Vervo and MELON company.

Meanwhile, cooperation in the field of transport between Latvia and Turkmenistan is an important element of their diplomatic and economic relations.

Both countries are actively working to strengthen ties in this area, which contributes to increasing trade flows, improving infrastructure, and exchanging experience.
