BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 12. Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company CJSC (ASCO) has successfully executed the acquisition and divestiture of its second Handysize dry cargo vessel, strategically enhancing its operational footprint beyond the Caspian Sea, Trend reports via ASCO.
The acquisition was enabled through a capital influx generated from bonds issued by ASCO.
The newly acquired dry cargo ship will be named “Murovdag”.

The length stretches to 179.9 meters, the width measures 30 meters, the board stands tall at 15 meters, the draft dips down to 10.47 meters, and it can zip along at a maximum speed of 15.7 knots.
The second dry cargo ship, which ticks all the boxes for international environmental standards, was crafted in Japan back in 2020.
The maiden voyage of the Murovdag will set sail from China, making its way to Ecuador before heading off to Colombia. It’s on track to hit the shores of its destination come December 2024.
