Turkmenistan and United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) will sign a memorandum of cooperation, the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary state news agency reported Oct. 26.

The relevant order was signed by the country’s President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at a governmental meeting.

During the meeting, it was noted that Turkmenistan, being committed to strategic partnership with the UN, is consistently building up constructive interaction with the organization’s specialized institutions, including UNCTAD.

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development was established in 1964 and it has 194 member states. This structure is the key UN body on trade, development, finance, technology and investment.
