The international airport of Tashkent named after Islam Karimov has resumed work on arrival and departure of aircrafts, Uzbekistan Airways said in a statement.

This morning the airport was closed due to unfavorable weather conditions. The visibility was below the minimum due to a thick fog.

Uzbekistan Airways said that the airport could not receive flights from Istanbul, Minsk, St. Petersburg, Tel Aviv, Bishkek and Rome.

The planes landed at Samarkand and Navoi airports. The airports also welcomed flights from Paris and London, as well as from Turkish Airlines.

Also, the plane with the speaker of the Kyrgyz Parliament Dastanbek Dzhumabekov and other members of the Kyrgyz parliament could not land at the airport in Tashkent due to thick fog.
