Deputy Minister of Emergency Measures of Kazakhstan, Valery Petrov, and the NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Robert Simmons, discussed the questions of special planning, the Kazakhstan Today reports.

"Regularity of our meetings demonstrates our active cooperation in the interests of our departments. We highly estimate the level of NATO many-sided activities carried out by structural divisions for prevention and liquidation of the consequences of accidents, catastrophes and natural disasters. First of all, it concerns Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Center (EADRCC)," Deputy Emergency Minister of Kazakhstan said.

During the meeting the questions of the new cycle of the Individual plan of partnership for 2009 - 2010 and further development of bilateral cooperation in emergency sphere have been discussed with NATO representatives.
