The Kazakh Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund's subsidiaries will allocate up to 10 percent of their net income to science and innovation, the fund said.
"It is necessary to use domestic science to promote the technological abilities of national companies," Samruk-Kazyna head Timur Kulibayev said in Astana today.
Kulibayev added that it is necessary to develop and approve a partnership program between companies and scientists by mid-2012.
