Kyrgyzstan did not close the border with Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz State National Security Committee's press service told KirTAG on Thursday.

"The information on closing the Kyrgyz- Kazakh border is wrong," the Committee said. "All six existing border checkpoints between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan are working in normal mode."
Kyrgyzstan closed the state border with Kazakhstan without official notification, Kazakh media reported earlier.
According to the Kyrgyz State National Security Committee, the army guarding at the state border was strengthened on Nov. 12, following the terrorist attack in Kazakh city of Taraz, bewaring of criminals' attempts to hide in Kyrgyzstan.

"Strengthening the security measures on Kyrgyzstan's borders with Kyrgyzstan's neighboring republics has not been lifted yet," the committee added. "But the checkpoints are working normally."
