Kazakh, Ukrainian Interior Ministers sign agreement on counter extremism

Kazakh Minister of Internal Affairs Kalmukhanbet Kassymov and his Ukrainian counterpart Vitaliy Zakharchenko signed in Astana an agreement on cooperation in countering extremism on Thursday, KAZINFORM reported.

"The agreement will be valid for five years," Kassymov told journalists.

According to Kassymov, the document envisages cooperation in combating the major types of crime and in eliminating extremism and cyber crime.

"It also assumes the exchange of information, the search for criminals and the execution of queries in all directions," Kassymov added.

The agreement was signed within the framework of Ukrainian delegation's visit to Kazakhstan on Nov. 23-24.
