Kazakhstan and Georgia is very interested in bilateral economic cooperation, Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri said on Wednesday following a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Karim Massimov in Astana, Kazinform reported.
"Economic cooperation with Kazakhstan is very important for Georgia..." Gilauri said. "...I think that Kazakhstan is an export country, and diversification of export versatilities is very important for Kazakhstan."
In turn, Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov confirmed Kazakhstan's interest to continue investing in the Georgian economy.
"We confirm our interest to continue investing in the Georgian economy and opportunity of export of the Kazakh cargo through the territory of Azerbaijan and Georgia," Massimov said following the meeting with Gilauri.
According to Massimov, Kazakh companies invest in many sectors of Georgian economy
"I think this visit [Gilauri's official visit to Kazakhstan on Dec. 6-7] will be an additional opportunity for strengthening cooperation between our countries," Massimov added.
