Kazakh Former Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov was appointed to the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission from Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Karim Massimov said today.

Kazakh Former Prime Minister Daniyal Akhmetov was appointed to the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission from Kazakhstan, Prime Minister Karim Massimov said today.

"Daniyal Akhmetov was appointed a member of the board on energy and infrastructure from the Kazakh side, Timur Suleimenov - a member of the board on economy and financial policy, Aldabergenov Nurlan - a member of the board on competition and antitrust regulation," Massimov said at a meeting.

Massimov said that the board will operate from February 1 next year.

The Eurasian Economic Commission is the body of the Customs Union of Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, and the Common Economic Space of these countries. It is expected that the Eurasian Economic Commission will start working from early 2012.
