Kazakh Prosecutor General's Office recorded no serious violations of citizens' voting rights in the elections, the Prosecutor's Office reported on Monday.

"The prosecutor's office received 536 complaints in the period of election campaign and the election day. Sixty-three of them are complaints on the elections to the Majilis and 472 on the elections to maslikhats. Most complaints on violations did not find its confirmation following check-up," the official spokesman of the Prosecutor General's Office Nurdualet Suindikov said at the briefing.

Elections to Kazakh Majilis (lower chamber of the Parliament) and to maslikhats (local representative body) were held on Jan.15. According to preliminary data of the Kazakh CEC, the ruling party Nur Otan received 80.74 per cent of the votes, Ak Zhol - 7.46 per cent, while the Communist Party - 7.2 per cent in the elections of members of the Kazakh Majilis.
