Members of the Nationwide Social Democratic Party (NSDP) of Kazakhstan dissatisfied with the results of parliamentary elections, held a rally on the Republic Square in Almaty.
The rally lasted no more than 45 minutes, then its members left the square without hindrance.
One of the party leaders Bulat Abilov at a press conference on the results of parliamentary elections on Jan.16 said the Almaty authorities permitted to hold a rally on the square behind the cinema "Sary-Arka" (on the outskirts of Almaty), but the party intends to bring his supporters to the city center - on the Republic Square to the Independence Monument.
According to preliminary data of the CEC, NSDP scored - 1.59 percent of the votes. Parliamentary elections were held in Kazakhstan on Jan.15.
