Kazakhstan, Astana, Jan.30 / Trend L.Podolyak /

Money from fines should be returned to environment in Kazakhstan and investment fund for environmental projects should be established, chairman of the Tabigat envirionmental union Mels Yeleusizov said at enlarged meeting of the environmental protection ministry board on Monday.

He said 71 billion tenge (over $478 million) of all possible fines were collected last year and they go nowhere and only 25 per cent - to needs of environment.

"It is necessary to establish a fund, precisely investment environmental fund in order that enterprises would be able to take nature-conservative measures on return basis. An enterprise never has circulating assets for environmental ends," Mr Yeleusizov said.
