Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament approves amendments to budget of country

Majilis (Lower House) of Parliament of Kazakhstan approved government amendments to the main financial document of the country, the press service of the House said.

The developers of the amendments said the basis for the revision of the national budget revenues in 2012 is specification of the parameters of macroeconomic indicators on the basis of analyzing the economic situation in the country and the changes to the regulations on export of crude oil and oil products, and specification of the calculations based on the actual income in 2011.

"Program of employment and affordable housing, as well as regional development, agriculture, industrial and innovative development, quality improvement of human capital in Kazakhstan, health care and public services improvement are defined as a priority area in accordance with the amendments." the statement said.

The press service stressed that the fulfillment of these objectives should be fully funded through a mechanism of public-private partnerships and by attracting private investment. Budget financing will be required for the effective implementation of all projects mentioned by the President in his message to the nation. In addition, the President requested to review the budget costs that do not provide a specific growth and employment.
