Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev sent a telegram of condolences to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in connection with an earthquake in the province of East Azerbaijan, which resulted in casualties, Ak Orda reported on Monday.
"I heard sad news about the earthquake in the province of East Azerbaijan with deep regret, which resulted in numerous casualties. Sharing your sorrow, on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on my own behalf I express deep condolences to the families of the disaster victims, and the brotherly people of Iran," the telegram of condolences says.
