Group suspected of police assault shot dead in Kazakhstan

A group suspected of assaulting police in Atirau has been shot in Kazakhstan, the Kazakh Attorney General's Office reported on Friday.
According to the report, law enforcement agency discovered four people suspected of an armed assault on patrol policemen and the building of the Administration of Internal Affairs in Atirau on the night of September 15.
Two strangers shot an employee of the Administration of Internal Affairs in his foot at Isatay-Makhambet square on September 14. On September 15 they attempted to attack the Administration of Internal Affairs. They threw a Molotov cocktail in the direction of a checkpoint and attempted to shoot soldiers.
All four, who conducted the armed resistance to the employees of special departments, were killed. No civilian victims were reported.
Several weapons, Molotov cocktails and components of improvised explosive devices were found and seized at the scene of the accident
The observation of the scene of the accident as well as the holding of an urgent investigation and search operations is in process.
