Astana will host a meeting of the World Petroleum Council (WPC), Kazenergy Director General Association Dzhambulat Sarsenov told Trend.
"The whole team of the national committees, representatives of about 60 national committees came to our country - participants of the World Petroleum Council," Sarsenov said.
He said the meeting will be held at the Rixos Hotel without the participation of media outlets.
"Holding Oil Council in Astana is a serious event. As a rule, the venue which hosts the Petroleum Council, also hosts the World Petroleum Congress. This is the first visit to the country to study its potentialities," he stressed.
Results of the meeting will be announced at a press conference on Oct.3.
After the meeting, WPC delegation headed by President of the organization Renato Bertani will attend the VII Eurasian forum KAZENERGY, which will be held in Astana on Oct.2-3 this year.
