Kazakhstan's naval forces held military exercises in the Caspian Sea, Kazakh Defence Ministry reported on Friday.

While being in open sea Kazakh military naval forces simulated boat attack and use of weapons of mass destruction, searched sea mines and carried out search and rescue operations.

"Led by lieutenant commander Erkebulan Darkenbaev the crew of rocket-artillery ship successfully fulfilled all tasks," the Ministry said.

"The seamen have shown a high level of ship control and firing facilities using," the commander of the naval base, first rank captain Saken Mansurov said.

Military exercises in the Caspian Sea continue. Kazakhstan Naval Forces are increasing the pace of training and preparing to perform new tasks.
Kazakh Naval Forces' fleet includes ​​hydrographic, rocket and artillery and mine-sweeping ships.
