Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbai Karabalin will participate in the IV Forum of the World Petroleum Council in Canada, to be held from October 22-24, spokesman for the central communications service under the Kazakh President Altai Abibullayev said at a briefing today.
"Kazakh Oil and Gas Minister Uzakbai Karabalin intends to participate in the IV Forum of the World Petroleum Council in the Canadian city of Calgary on October 22-24," he said.
Abibullayev said that Astana has made a bid to host the World Petroleum Congress in 2017. Along with Astana, Houston, Istanbul and Copenhagen have also made bids.
"Voting will be held on October 23," Abibullayev added.
