By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend: Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov introduced a new head of the Agency for Religious Affairs Marat Azilhanov to agency representatives.
Akhmetov stressed the great contribution of former head of the agency Kairat Lama Sharif in its formation.
"Your representatives have important tasks to ensure inter-religious harmony, the rights of citizens to freedom of religion and interaction with religious associations," Akhmetov added. "I wish you every success in this work."
Kairat Lama Sharif was appointed Kazakh Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates upon the Kazakh president's decree.
