The Central Communications Service of Kazakhstan and the National Media Council UAE signed a memorandum of understanding in Abu Dhabi on Feb. 20.

"The memorandum aims at provision of long-term and regular exchange of information and experience in information work," Central Communications Service said.

"CCS and Emirati National Media Council intend to organize themed events, seminars, courses, collaborative research, as well as develop and implement information programs of mutual interest," the statement says.

With the assistance of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Abu Dhabi, the memorandum was signed by CCS director Yerzhan Babakumarov, and Emirati National Media Council Director Ibrahim Al Abed.

National Media Council (National Media Council, NMC) is a federal agency of the United Arab Emirates, in charge of general management in the field of information.

The Council was established in 2006 for implementing state policy in the field of Information and Communications, as well as ensuring effective development of a modern and competitive media sector.
