A Kazakh SCAT airline`s aircraft made an emergency landing in Astana, according to the press-service of Astana International Airport JSC
"An aircraft of SCAT airline which flew from Shymkent to Astana made an emergency landing at 10:57. From 9:34 the airport was closed due to completion of the emergency landing. During this time, some four take off flights and three arrival flights were delayed," the statement said.
The report notes that the aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing because of a problem with the front landing gear.
"Airport services were put on full alert. The landing strip was covered with foam to prevent fire. Seven units of fire fighting equipment and five ambulances of emergency care arrived in airport," - statement said.
Some five crew members and 89 passengers were on the board. Currently, an investigation is being carried out by the corresponding services.
