Kazakh border guards detained about 80 people in a 24 hour period for failure to leave the country on time. Twenty-seven were Chinese citizens and more than 50 were Uzbek citizens, the border service of the Kazakh National Security Committee said Sept. 10.

The border guards of the "Khorgos" checkpoint detained 27 Chinese citizens. The detainees returned to their place of residence.

Currently, the offenders were released under the obligation to appear. The case is planned to be submitted to the court of Panfilov district.

More than 50 Uzbek citizens were also detained by Saryagash border guards for a failure to depart on time.

The case is planned to be submitted to a specialized administrative court of Saryagash town.
