Construction of the majority of objects for the international exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana will be completed in the summer of 2016, Novosti- Kazakhstan reported.
"We want to have 8-9 months to prepare for the EXPO [after competing the construction work]," the chairman of the Board of Kazakh National Company Astana EXPO 2017 Talgat Ermegiyaev told reporters on Oct. 12 in Almaty.
"We have to observe all constructions, test all the equipment," he said. "So, we have a plan to finish construction of all the buildings, excluding Kazakhstan's pavillion, in late summer of 2016."
Construction of the Kazakhstan's pavilion is scheduled to be completed in Dec. 2016. It will be a building with a diameter of 80 meters.
"There are only a few large companies in the world that can build such a unique building, it will be the most unique building in the world," Ermegiyaev said.
He noted that, the construction is fully in line with the schedule.
